Publish work that holds up — and gets read.
During our founding phase we invite contributions to the founding collection of each journal. Articles publish continuously — online immediately upon acceptance, with no issues or volumes.
Founding Collection — open for submissions.
- No publication charge for accepted founding articles
- Priority handling — target median: 35 days to first decision
- An optional, author-approved graphical abstract in the journal's style
- Front-page visibility in the Founding Collection
What we look for
- Real validation. External or prospective evaluation, not just a benchmark number.
- Reproducibility. Methods clear enough to repeat; code and data available where possible.
- Reporting standards. The right checklist for your study type (e.g. CONSORT, TRIPOD-AI, STARD-AI, PRISMA).
- Honest statistics. Effect sizes and confidence intervals alongside p-values.
What you can expect
A fast, transparent process. An automated technical screening returns concrete, actionable feedback before review — so reviewers focus on the science, and revision cycles stay short. Decisions are made by human editors and recorded in an auditable trail.
- SubmitFor the founding phase, expressions of interest and manuscripts may be submitted by email to the journal (jfpai@ / jaidd@vallensis.org). Full portal submission is available on request; automated integrity checks run on receipt.
- First decisionTarget median: 35 days. Double-blind review by at least two independent experts.
- ReviseA structured revision checklist makes expectations explicit.
- PublishOpen access under CC BY 4.0, with a DOI and an optional, author-approved graphical abstract.
Article-processing charges
Transparent · waivers availableFounding-Collection articles are published free of charge. Beyond the founding phase, APCs are stated transparently on each journal, and full waivers remain available for authors from low-income countries and on request — no author is turned away for inability to pay.
Article processing charges for contributions outside the founding phase will be published transparently before they apply.
